K.9 White Collar Boxing club and K.9 Muay Thai came back from the Northern Open Championships in Rotherham
K.9's winning team with coach Ben Mitchell
with 4 White Collar Boxing Area Titles, 3 K.1 Area Titles and 3 Kickboxing Area Titles and a silver and a Bronze medal.
The Yarmouth Boxers were in superb form and a credit to their coaches Dave Munro, John Hutchins and Aaron Monson. Dan Mitchell won the Adult -70 kilos category showing superb footwork and a great variety of punches. Chiara Spink was the star of the squad, boxing to order doing exactly what her coaches asked, and dominating the girls -45 kilo category looking really classy, (Junior fighter of the day).
Tia Sayer won the -50 kilo category with a tidy display. Dublyn Doole won the -35 kilo category showing great concentration and a sharp jab. Tyler Munro came up against a very tough aggressive girl in the final of the -40 kilo category and showed a lot of heart and a sharp jab but was narrowly outpointed and had to settle for the silver medal.
In the K.1 Kickboxing Dan Mitchell totally dominated the Adult Mens -70 kilo category collecting his second belt of the day. Remy Sayer put on a great show to win the -35 kilos boys belt in the final against a tough kid from Manchester, coach Dave Munro was really proud of Remy’s performance. Tia Sayer won the girls -50 kilo K.1 category but was very scrappy and needs to slow down and listen to her coaches as she has the power and the heart of a lion but makes her fights far closer than they need to be.
In the Kickboxing Categories: Ashton Neller won the -30 kilos under nines boys category. Dublyn Doole won the -35 kilos category showing a lot of skill, and Keira Sayer won the -25 kilos girls under nines category, making it a family treble for the Sayer family. Hadley Neller did his best but had to settle for the silver in the boys 9-11 years -30 kilos category.
The K.9 fight team coming home with a total of ten titles. A great weekends work for the talented team of boxers and kickboxers.
